A small army of federal immigration police descended on Carpinteria and attacked protesters after raiding a cannabis farm.

The Carpinteria City Council issued a statement denouncing Thursday's ICE activity at Glass House Farms after a special meeting. 

The Madre Fire east of Santa Maria has burned more than 80,000 acres and is now 62% contained.
